Group Leader

POSITION:	Group Leader
LOCATION:	Various locations in Nassau and Suffolk County Elementary Schools.
START DATE:	Immediate
RESPONSIBILITIES:	Reports to the program supervisor, assists supervisor in daily operation of the child care program including but not limited to: supervision of children, implementation of daily activities, program planning, implementation of behavior management.
REQUIREMENTS:	High School Diploma or its equivalent is preferred. Candidates without a high school diploma will be considered if they have at least one year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
SALARY:	$18.21 per hour

Assistant Director: Before/After School Child Care

POSITION:	Assistant Director: Before/After School Child Care

RESPONSIBILITIES:	Reports to the program supervisor, assists supervisor in daily operation of the child care program including but not limited to: supervision of children, implementation of daily activities, program planning, and implementation of behavior management. May be required to assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:	Two years of college with 18 credits in Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field and two years experience working with children under the age of 13 is preferred or high school diploma with five years direct experience working with children under the age of 13.
SALARY:	$21.43 per hour

Site Director: Before/After School Child Care

POSITION:	Site Director: Before/After School Child Care
LOCATION:	Various locations in Nassau and Suffolk County Elementary Schools

RESPONSIBILITIES:	Directs and oversees all staff and activities at the program site including but not limited to the supervision of children (K-5), supervision and evaluation of program staff, payroll reporting, communication with parents, record keeping, ordering and inventory maintenance, and staff training and development.
REQUIREMENTS:	Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development, Elementary or Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field. Alternatively, two years of college with 18 credits in Early Childhood Development, Elementary or Physical Education, Recreation or a related field. Must also have two years of experience working with children under the age of 13, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
SALARY:	$32.03 per hour

Program Assistant – Part Time

POSITION:	Program Assistant (Student Services – Recruitment) – Part Time
LOCATION:	SCOPE Administrative Office, Syosset, New York
START DATE:	Immediate
RESPONSIBILITIES:	Major duties include the following: Greets and directs all visitors; maintains visitor sign in/sign out sheet Schedules interviews and orientation for student services field staff Assists with maintaining database to track status of applicants through the hiring process Reviews applicant materials to ensure appropriate credentials/licenses/certifications and where appropriate, experience Conducts inventory; orders general office supplies Performs additional clerical duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:	High School Diploma or its equivalent Previous experience in an office setting Proficient with Microsoft Office software Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multi-task Bilingual English/Spanish ability is strongly desirable Notary Public License or willingness to obtain
SALARY & HOURS:	$22.00 per hour. 29 ½ hours per week, with availability to work additional hours as needed.

Math Teachers for SAT/PSAT/ACT Prep Courses

POSITION:	Math Teachers for SAT/PSAT/ACT Prep Courses
LOCATION:	Various High Schools in Nassau and Suffolk Counties
START DATE:	PSAT September through October (5 weeks) SAT September through November (7 weeks) ACT October through December (5 weeks) Monday – Thursday (classes offered one night per week) 6:00 p.m. – 7:30p.m. AND/OR 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
RESPONSIBILITIES:	Teach Student Prep Courses utilizing the curriculum materials provided by SCOPE
QUALIFICATIONS:	NYS Teacher Certification Required Bachelor’s degree with strong background in content area of Math/Science or Secondary Ed. with major in Math/Science required Current or prior teaching experience preferred Prior SAT/PSAT/ACT teaching experience a plus
SALARY:	$70.00 per hour. Mon. – Fri., 25 hours per week.
